Louis Bromfield (1896–1956) was a Pulitzer Prize–winning American novelist who later became a pioneering voice for sustainable and organic farming in the United States. He is best remembered for his novel Early Autumn and for founding Malabar Farm in Ohio, which became a model of conservationist agriculture
